Retreats Include daily Yoga, walking and swimming with full and half board. There are a wide range of therapies to choose from if you would like to add to your retreat. These are at additional cost and need to be booked in advance.
Karen ( BWYdip.) will revitalise you with morning Yoga or relax you with evening Yoga, using asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), sound (therapeutic use of voice), meditation and relaxation in effective ways to suit your needs and ability. The ancient art of Yoga will keep your joints supple, strengthen your body, release tension and improve the quality of your breath as well as calm the mind. Karen aims to bring about awareness, improved posture and balance in all areas thus enabling a greater quality of life.
We are a mile from the coastal path at Aberfelin cove, Trefin or Abercastle, and a couple of miles from the fabulous Porthgain harbour and Abereiddi with its famous Blue Lagoon. St.Davids is 6 miles away and buses run regularly if you would like to visit Britain’s smallest city with it’s beautiful cathedral. There is a woodland circular walk to Abermawr beach and Karen can tell you of lots more in the area.
Private heated lap pool available. Changing room with shower and toilet facilities. Garden and sea views from pool room.
There are optional periods of silence helping create space to absorb, reflect and connect with your inner self. Quiet meditation room available.
All produce organic and locally sourced where possible. Wholesome, balanced sustaining meals. All homemade with love.
Super Healthy option
Freshly prepared delicious juices, smoothies, soups and salads. Providing your digestive system with a treat and boosting your body with nutrients and goodness. You will naturally become lighter if your body needs to reduce weight (this can be significant and rest assured, you won’t feel hungry). A packed lunch can be provided for half board guests at an additional cost if you wish to explore the coastal paths.

A typical day
First thing // 7.30 – 9am Yoga,asana,pranayama and meditation.
Breakfast // Nourishing smoothie or healthy cooked or continental style breakfast with homemade bread, local honey and preserves, muesli, fruit salad etc.
Mid morning // Swim or walk
Lunch // 1pm // For example: Homemade soup, salads or smoothie
After lunch // Rest, read or observe silence (optional)
Afternoon // Enjoy either a personal Yoga session or a therapy with a friendly, local therapist here at Awelfan, no need to drive….
Supper // For example: Vegetable curry with brown rice, butternut squash tagine, nut roast with roast vegetables or salad.
